And singing because my lil old blog has resonated with someone.
And your comment on this blog is a nice fushigi with us this morning, as I was looking at a fushigi about simplifying life tied to a great book called Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates and a recent library book called Choosing Simplicity: Real People Finding Peace and Fulfillment in a Complex World by Linda Breen Pierce.

And in return, high and respectful regards from your friend in living in the Yukon.Guy Duperreaulthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05300018595841442280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4893240729366179503.post-44564143233280582962020-11-10T00:38:41.801-08:002020-11-10T00:38:41.801-08:00There is so much to digest, my old friend from the...There is so much to digest, my old friend from the Fushigi... How fun life plays that we are all tied somehow to Japan now...

About the decluttering, there is so much I have learned and senses throughout all these years. Having been raised in a low-income family, I always grew up with this idea that we should treat things as much as care as possible so they can last.. and special clothes are just for special occasions... while this has made me not throw away things easily, I realized I was often missing on the opportunity to use many clothes, on the excuse to save them for "the special occasion" that never came... then suddenly they do not fit you, etc... So, we have to both take care of them and enjoy them... while they last...

Regarding the other kind of objects... I have experienced something similar to your phonecall experience with my previous (and first computer), I had been having a lot of trouble with it along the past five years.. finally, when I came to Japan, I needed to replace the battery (again), after that, I decided to do back up from everything I had on it, because I knew it would not last... it served me for one more year, but when it finally died, I was prepared to both let it go and acquire a new one...

For the house, I feel the same, I have read somewhere that the things we own own us... and if we do not take care... we will let bad energy pile up... as someone who suffers from anxiety for not having a fixed address, I end up accumulating things that I should let go, finally here in Japan I had the chance to stay for two years in the same apartment (probably the first time in the last 10 years that I was staying that long in the same place) and moved for the first time because I wanted and needed to, and not because I had to. It was a great experience.. and I threw away many old things... and I am still replacing some...although I know my current house is temporary, finally it feels like home to me... I just have to enjoy it while it lasts...

Also moving around many times has also thought me not to keep much stuff with me...

Kind regards from Nagoya, Japan, to you, my dear friend!!!!Jocyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18262833651120290753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4893240729366179503.post-6453938497594983012019-10-15T00:00:30.372-07:002019-10-15T00:00:30.372-07:00You know your projects stand out of the herd. '...one of the best things I've read recently.' Thank you!

Yes, isn't that spinning house a great image?! As to the pubic hair, what has always puzzled me is how each cell knows what it is relative to its neighbours, as they slowly change from muscle to ligaments to tendons. The change so gradual it isn't really visible, cell to cell, but yet they 'know' where they fit in. Amazing stuff.

I've had Gaiman's writing pop up in my purview. I think I was told by a writing analysis web page that some of my writing is like his. I didn't know who he was, but when I researched him, he seemed interesting. Thank you. What opened a window on our parallel universe for me was Baba Yaga's spinning house, the independent unconscious psyche, and - hahaha - how does pubic hair know when to stop growing (uranium to lead).

The fushigis are delightful and clearly part of the spinning house which pulls them into its orbit.

I am reading 'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman right now, which makes a connection, of course to your quote "[...] and rescued from a disgraceful, completely odious death, so too may we be instructed, rescued perhaps, and even spiritually transformed, if we will be humble ourselves enough to converse on equal terms with the apparently moribund divinities [...] that are hanging, multitudinous, from the prodigious tree of the past."

Rose Mary Boehmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11069663285584733036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4893240729366179503.post-26704983140649974352013-09-01T12:32:14.193-07:002013-09-01T12:32:14.193-07:00Rose, I am so glad that you enjoy these!
